VHR’s CEO Wins TIARA Recruitment Award

VHR are delighted that our CEO has been named Entrepreneur of the Year at this year’s TIARA Awards.

On Tuesday 15th October 2019, VHR’s CEO & Founder Danny Brooks received the Award at this year’s Talint International Annual Recruitment Awards (TIARAs) from Talint Partners, the organisation formerly known as Recruitment International.

Recognition in the Recruitment Industry

Talint Partners strive to continually educate and connect professionals involved in the talent and staffing industries. The Talint Awards programme aims to set a new standard of excellence for the recruitment sector’s highest achievements.

In the Entrepreneur of the Year category, TIARA judges were impressed with Danny’s inspirational story, overcoming a significant number of obstacles to lead a strong business and energising his team to drive growth.

Danny comments,

‘I am beyond delighted to have been named Recruitment Entrepreneur of the Year 2019. Talint and the TIARAs are a benchmark of quality in the staffing industry internationally, and the history and prestige of sponsors Mishcon de Reya add another level of global recognition.

‘To succeed against tough competition, particularly large and long-established firms, shows the power and tenacity of smaller agencies like ours (we grew to 90 people and are 16 years old in 2019) and the positive contribution of recruitment SMEs in the marketplace.’

VHR were also Highly Commend in two other Awards categories: Best Recruitment Company to Work For and Best Innovation of the Year.

Danny started up VHR in 2003 with the aim of providing an ethical recruitment company that worked in partnership with clients and benefited business, workers and communities. VHR has since grown to 90 employees, working across 45 countries from 7 global offices, and a £35million turnover.

The Talint Awards follow a year of recognition for Danny, including:

· IoD Awards – Danny was selected as Global Director of the Year by the Institute of Directors in the 2019 IoD Awards

· Telegraph – In October 2019 Danny was named One to Watch in the Telegraph’s 2019 Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders programme

· Barclays Entrepreneur Awards – This August Danny was voted Icon of the Year in the Barclays Entrepreneur Awards 2019.
