VHR Win 2 SME Awards

VHR are delighted to announce that we have won in two categories at the SME National Business Awards 2019.

The third annual SME National Business Awards aims to raise the profile of innovative, driven and enterprising SMEs, and those who lead them, across the UK.

SME Awards Wins

VHR were voted winners in the following categories:

Entrepreneur – Highlighting business leaders and founders who prove that hard work, determination and innovation make for success. VHR’s CEO Danny Brooks was named Bronze Winner in this category
Best Enterprising Business – Celebrating export businesses that most effectively utilise export market opportunities and drive demonstrable business growth. VHR was named Silver Winner in this year’s category.

In the 2018 SME Awards VHR won two Awards in different categories: Business of the Year (More Than 50 Employees) and Overall Winner (voted for by Judges from the collection of category winners).

VHR’s Story

VHR was founded by CEO Danny Brooks in April 2003. VHR was born of a desire to build a completely different kind of recruitment company: putting ethics and excellent services at the heart of our business. Danny set about embedding VHR’s services within every client business to act as an extension of their HR departments, providing a truly unique, beneficial service to everyone involved.

In 16 years VHR has grown to 90 employees across 9 global offices and a turnover of £36million. VHR now serves clients in 50 countries around the world and places thousands of candidates every year.

In April 2018 VHR received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade in recognition of 15 years’ sustainable business growth and three years’ rapid business growth.

In 2019 VHR won 17 other Awards, including:

IoD – Danny was voted Global Director of the Year by the Institute of Directors
Recruiter Awards – VHR took home two Recruiter Awards trophies: International Recruitment Company of the Year and Engineering Recruitment Company of the Year
