VHR are delighted to announce our latest recruitment drive in partnership with ANEN.
VHR’s partnership with ANEN, the Spanish Marine Trade Association, is set to deliver our first partnered event: a recruitment drive to get more young people into the Spanish Marine industry.
Spanish Marine Industry: Attracting New Marine Talent
After a difficult few years, the Spanish Marine industry is beginning to attract new business development with a focus on innovation and technology. Valencia’s Marine industry is already booming with the arrival and investment of the TP52 yacht repair and refit company Varadero Valencia Shipyard, which also hosted the TP52 Super Series Final Regatta in recent weeks.
As Spain and Valencia are fast becoming global hubs of Marine technology and innovation, the demand for new skills is rapidly increasing. Over 22% of Manufacturing and Engineering leaders across industries recently rated technical skills shortages as the number one business challenge of the next decade. A reduction in young people taking up apprenticeships and entering engineering and technical roles means that recruitment specialists and business leaders must work harder to attract skilled talent in the new generation.
VHR and ANEN Marine Recruitment Drive: Attend
The VHR ANEN Marine recruitment drive will take place at the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum in Valencia, Spain. Held from 6th – 7th November, the VHR and ANEN Marine recruitment drive will feature a host of Marine business leaders from around Valencia and Spain, who will reveal what it’s like to work in Marine and discuss the benefits of a career in the industry.
The Marine recruitment drive, which will be attended by students from local schools and young people based in Spain, aims to provide young people with a look into the Marine industry and start them on the first step into a Marine career.
