VHR took part in yesterday’s Virgin Money London Marathon 2019.
On Sunday 28th April 2019, VHR’s Automotive Recruitment Specialist Max Snegirev completed this year’s London Marathon. As a former racing driver – his previous experience includes the Formula Palmer Audi, British Formula 3, FIA Formula Two and Auto GP World Series – Max is no stranger to the competitive world of sport.
The 39th London Marathon last weekend received a record number of applications and saw over 40,000 runners compete in the race. The 26.2-mile course started at St James’ Park and wound around the Thames and throughout the sights of Central London.
A first-time Marathon runner, Max finished with a time of 4 hours and 23 minutes.
Max ran in aid of the official Charity Team of the Virgin Money London Marathon, Dementia Revolution.
The Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer’s UK have joined forces to find a cure and methods of prevention for Dementia, which sees one new person diagnosed with the illness every 3 seconds.
So far Max has raised a total of £1,121 to help cure Dementia. Visit Max’s fundraising page to make a donation.
In 2018 VHR ran the Easter Half-Marathon and Bloodwise Blenheim Palace Triathlon, volunteered in India, hosted Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and participated in Loud Shirt Day and Christmas Jumper Day.
In the last two years VHR has raised over £25,000 for charity. Find out more about how we’re putting charity at the heart of recruitment.
