VHR Technical Recruitment Managing Director, Danny Brooks, raced home in yesterday's Virgin Money London Marathon.

More than 40,000 people made it to the start line, meaning the 37th event was on course to outstrip last year's record of 39,140 competitors.
Finishing well under his target of a 4 Hour marathon, Danny finished with a personal best of 3:49.27.
"I had a great Virgin Money London Marathon, the weather was warm, however, I'd paced myself well to finish that last few miles in good shape. " commenting Danny after the race.
Daniel Wanjiru claimed victory in the men's elite race while Mary Keitany won the women's race for the third time. Many were waved off on their 26.2-mile journey by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William, who were also seen on the Mall cheering on finishers from the sidelines.
"The fitness training with Daley Thompson at Daley Fitness in Putney and previous cycling with Steve Waugh on the Captains Ride meant I had a really good foundation for this endurance event. I'd like to thank everyone that has kindly donated and of course, there is still time to show your support for VICTA and all the great work they do for children who are blind or partially sighted," added Danny.
VICTA supports children and young people who are blind or partially sighted and their families across the UK. You can find out more about VICTA here: http://www.victa.org.uk/victa-children/
