VHR is proud to announce that we have won yet another award in 2019.
We have won The Southwark Business Award for best medium business, having continued our winning streak this year.
The criteria to win the award was:
VHR is led by industry experts, and our team members are trained in the VHR Academy for 13 weeks. In 2018 we implemented the VHR Academy: a bespoke 13-week training programme to transform eight inexperienced individuals into successful recruiters.
The trainees surpassed expectations, with 5 of 8 exceeding performance targets in their first month. By training up our recruitment consultants to our high standards from the very beginning, we are developing a truly sustainable business model that ensures each and every client receives the best levels of service.
VHR has grown consistently over the last decade, with plans for future growth around the world.
An owner-operated company, VHR achieves growth through reinvestment of profits without any external funding. In 2018 VHR invested heavily into expanding our international presence: opening our fifth office in Spain and passing incredibly stringent laws to provide compliant recruitment services in France and Slovenia.
We go above and beyond for our candidates, having helped form the Fair Labour Alliance to promote ethical recruitment. VHR are prominent supporters of ethical recruitment. Our services are built on the Dhaka Principles to ensure candidates are treated ethically and receive sufficient support.
To protect our candidates, VHR works within the countries where we recruit, including the Philippines, Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Kenya, with employees visiting each country to assess candidates, perform stringent welfare and accommodation checks and ensure positive candidate experiences.
Since February 2018 VHR has worked with Amnesty International and King’s College London on a project to highlight modern slavery across global supply chains.
We won at The Southwark Business awards last year as well for Best Employer and Entrepreneur of the Year.
