VHR joins a shortlist of innovative start-ups, SMEs and large global brands including:

This category recognises those companies with a positive impact on their local and global communities. Shortlisted organisations will have an ethical sustainable business model and be able to evidence a positive impact upon their employees, stakeholders, suppliers and community residents.
Created by experienced recruiter Danny Brooks in 2003, VHR was born of a desire to build a completely different kind of recruitment company, with ethics at the heart of the business. Danny saw a gap in the market for a more partner-oriented recruitment approach: he set about embedding VHR’s services within every client business to act as an extension of their HR departments, providing a truly unique, beneficial service to everyone involved.
The International Labour Organisation estimates that 40.3 million people worldwide are currently working under conditions of modern slavery. VHR are a prominent ethical recruitment company, and our services are built on the international Dhaka Principles to protect candidates throughout the recruitment process and all the way through their work placements. By going the extra mile for every client and candidate, VHR are striving to raise the standards of global recruitment.
VHR are proud to offer a great place to work for all our 90 employees across our 9 offices. We provide 21 employee benefits including:
· Flexible working
· Company trips abroad every year (recent trips include New York, Boston, Valencia and Barcelona)
· Holiday incentives

· Qualifications support – VHR pay 50% of fees for professional qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, CIPD and CIM and provide paid study leave.

Our two in-house Learning & Development Coaches create unique training programmes for junior, mid-level and senior employees to help them grow professional and soft skills.
This category recognises businesses that can demonstrate how working internationally has benefited their international business strategy. Each shortlisted organisation will have an innovative approach to establishing and entering new international markets and demonstrate long-term sustainable business success across continents.
For almost 17 years VHR has been proud to partner leading international businesses across the Aerospace & Aviation, F1 & Automotive, Engineering & Defence and Marine industries, and we now work in 52 countries around the world. Our team of 90 employees originate from over 20 different nationalities and they collectively speak 24 languages, enabling us to work closely with business leaders and candidates around the world.
This category recognises professional services companies that provide exceptional services for their customers through innovation and investment.
VHR finds the talent needed around the world when not available domestically. We incorporate, register, work towards compliance and obtain labour licenses to provide high quality contract and permanent workers around the world. This has meant VHR investing significantly by incorporating in numerous geographies to offer innovative and compliant recruitment, payroll, and visa solutions. With expats representing 95% of the workforce and difficulty obtaining residence visas, UAE businesses face growth restrictions. Incorporated in the UAE as an On-Demand Labour Supply company, VHR can sponsor unlimited worker visas.
VHR source candidates and also arrange all onboarding and logistics – travelling to meet candidates in their home countries and personally transferring them to their new homes and work sites, organising accommodation, providing expert guidance on local tax and healthcare, and even collecting candidates from international airports at early mornings– to protect candidates from any situations that could leave them vulnerable, and ensure businesses receive the best quality services.
VHR’s recent successes include:
· Featuring in the London Stock Exchange 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2019
· Expanding to 90 employees (from 60 in 2017 – a 50% growth rate)
· Continuing decade-long partnerships with a European Formula One team and three global airlines
· Raising over £25,000 for multiple charities in two years
