VHR Finalists for Great British Entrepreneur Awards

During the unprecedented pandemic that has negatively impacted workers and employers around the globe, VHR are delighted to receive some good news: we have been shortlisted for the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2020.

 

Great British Entrepreneur Awards Programme

The Awards programme, held in partnership with Starling Bank, celebrate and support the most enterprising minds in Great Britain. The programme recognises companies of all sizes and sectors across the UK.

The Great British Entrepreneur Awards (GBEA) initiative has launched an impressive list of alumni, with previous winners including:

  • Just Eat
  • BrewDog
  • Cisco
  • The Cambridge Satchel Company
  • CEO Plastics
  • Hungry House
  • Tangle Teezer
  • Mindful Chef.

VHR was named a Finalist in the shortlisted selection of the Service Industry Entrepreneur of the Year category.

Service Industry Success

This category highlights businesses that can demonstrate the following:

  • Customer Care – Excellent customer communication and value added to customer businesses through high quality service delivery
  • Ethical Mission & Vision – Business model based around helping societies, communities and individuals as well as generating business growth and profit
  • Story of Success – A unique purpose and established history of determination, creativity and innovation
  • Growth over the past three years – Sustainable gains in revenue, profit and workforce expansion .

Recruitment Service Delivery Success

VHR’s CEO and Founder Danny Brooks launched VHR in 2003 to create an ethical recruitment company that worked in partnership with clients and benefited businesses, workforces and communities. VHR has since grown to 90 employees and since 2016 almost doubled our turnover from £18million to £36million.

In the past year VHR have:

  • Opened our 7th, 8th and 9th global offices in Dublin, Leipzig and Cyprus
  • Built upon our long-established Managed Service expertise to launch our new brand VHR Workforce Solutions
  • Delivered two iterations of the VHR Academy which transforms inexperienced individuals into successful recruitment consultants
  • Developed bespoke training programmes that create new skilled Aviation workforces across continents
  • Supported over 200 clients and thousands of candidates in 52 countries and four continents around the world.

In 2018 VHR received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade. VHR were recognised as 275th of the Top 500 Recruitment Companies of 2015, climbing to 268th in 2016 and 171st in 2017.

 

We are particularly delighted to have received the shortlisting news during an unprecedented time for industries, business leaders and employees globally. Throughout the effects of Covid-19 we have been proud of our employees, who have maintained their commitment to excellent service and going the extra mile to help each and every client and candidate.

  • Talint International – VHR were named Best Construction & Engineering Staffing Agency in the Annual TIARA Recruitment Awards Dubai
  • Best Business Awards – VHR picked up two titles in the June 2020 Awards programme in the categories of Best Employer and Best Innovation.
