The Formula 1 finale is here and VHR are attending the Grand Prix this weekend.
Held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, the Grand Prix is the final of nine-month racing season for Formula 1.
The Formula 1 finale in Abu Dhabi provides the opportunity for industry leaders and engineering professionals with the F1 and Automotive industries to meet and network throughout the event.
Yas Marina Circuit, the final track of the Grand Prix season, produces one of the slowest lap times of the year due to its high number of low-speed corners.
It has three sectors that are quite distinctive in their own right; the first is tests the medium-to-high-speed performance car, the second is predominantly a long stretch and the last is an intense series of low-speed corners.
Due to the temperatures (which are much higher in the day) as well as the track being extremely tough on brakes, the circuit can be a challenge for engineers also.
It’s important for engineers to assess the car requirements accurately as the qualifying race takes place during the twilight period of the day.
From the 24th-26th November, the Formula 1 finale will be the highlight of the 2017 racing season.
